The MyZone pantry, located in Peregrine Dining Hall, offers a space where students can access gluten free options. The MyZone pantry is exclusively gluten, peanut and tree-nut free. MyZone typically includes bread, bagels, English muffins, cereal, crackers and cookies. There is also a toaster, microwave and cutting board reserved exclusively for gluten free items. Gluten free pizza and pasta are available daily upon request. Although there is not separate gluten free kitchen, the dining staff has been trained in accommodating guests with food allergies and preventing cross contamination.
Retail dining locations across campus offer gluten free menu options as well. The Roost at Ridgeview, SubConnection and Nester’s Grille in the Student Union Building offer gluten free bread for sandwiches. Element93 in Wooster hall offers gluten free bread, buns and wraps for sandwiches and burgers. Pomodoro’s makes gluten free pizza daily and gluten free pasta as an option on the menu.
Fortunately, many foods are naturally gluten free. Beyond the gluten free alternatives to gluten containing foods, a variety of options are available across campus. Element93 and Tokyo Sushi (located in the Student Union Building) offer several unique gluten-free choices. In addition, gluten-free fresh salads, fruit, yogurt and snacks are available at retail dining locations across campus.
