ReusePass
To ensure we’re doing our part to phase out dining disposables, SUNY New Paltz Dining uses ReusePass to provide our diners with reusable to-go containers. This program not only provides diners with the containers, but also has RFID technology to help track the containers, ensuring they are returned to be reused.
The impact of the program has been huge: in the first six months using ReusePass, 130,000 single-use containers were saved from the landfill.
Join ReusePass to get your next meal in a reusable to-go container. To sign up, go to reusepass.com, and create a free account to access your unique ReusePass QR. Add it to your mobile wallet for easy access. Then, show your QR code to the cashier to rent a reusable container.
The initial cost of the container is $5, with no charge for future visits. If you order from one of our locations without this container, you will be charged $5 for the single-use products, making a reusable container a smart investment.
Fill your container up with delicious food, and enjoy your waste-free meal. Make sure you return the container within three days. If the container is returned late, there will be a $5 fine. You can use the app to see where and when to return your containers. Return locations are at Peregrine Dining Hall, Student Union Building, and Element 93. We’ll wash the container, and you’ll be ready for a new one the next time you dine with us.
It may take a few days to check in a container after returning one, so please be patient and rest assured, it will be processed.
